The Best Cape Cod Beaches for Every ScenarioAdd to My Luxx Living
Everyone has a “Best Beaches of Cape Cod” list, but we’ve worked to create a list that highlights the best beach for every beach-going situation. If we’ve missed any ideas, or you think we’re off on any of our selections, feel free to leave your suggestions in the comments below. Enjoy!
Spectacular view of the sun peaking over the horizon. Perfect way to start your day off in the summer and late September as fall begins to creep in.
Tough to beat the view when you’re sitting by the campfire after a relaxing day watching the sun go down. Location and atmosphere make Sandy Neck a top choice to watch the sunset on Cape Cod.
The beaches along the National Seashore all have big waves, but Nauset is especially popular for surfing and boogie boarding. If you want waves, Nauset Marconi is a safe bet to deliver.
Anything on the Nantucket Sound will give you the warmth you’re looking for, but the overall shallow depths and popularity of this beach make it a top choice to enjoy a more pleasant ocean dip.
Football, cornhole, volleyball, swimming, boogie boarding, frisbee – whatever it is, you’ll likely find a spot somewhere on the sands at the Beachcomber. Combine that with the phenomenal food and drink available at the top of the hill, you’re covered for an afternoon of laughs and entertainment
Constantly bustling with concerts and entertainment throughout the summer months, the Beachcomber truly is a party from early in the morning to late at night. Be sure to book tickets fast as events usually sell out quickly.
If you’re looking for a quieter night of camping, s’mores and songs, a night out on Sandy Neck by the fire is an equally ideal choice. It all depends on what you’re looking for.
Kalmus is a world-renowned spot for wind surfing, and therefore is an easy choice for our best spot to ride the waves.
The last beach in the line before Provincetown, so the parking lot rarely fills up. If you’re dying to go to the beach and everywhere else is full, you can almost certainly find a spot at Head of the Meadow.
Quick-serve clam shack with outdoor picnic tables for fried seafood & onion rings. The food is good, the service is quick, and the experience is everything you’d want from a brief lunch break at the beach.
All of the National Seashore beaches are dog friendly, and most beaches are good in the winter, but White Crest is our choice for the best year-round place to bring your pooch for a day in the sun.
Different beaches for different scenarios. The Brewster Flats are the widest expanse of tidal flats in North America, and compasses a straight-line distance of 7 miles. Hatches Harbor provides a nice walk through the sands and grasses of Provincetown, and ends with you face to face with Race Point Lighthouse. Sometimes, you can even see whales depending on the time of year. You can’t go wrong with either option.
Always cracking the top 10 U.S. beaches list, Coast Guard is the perfect place to bring your family for a day at the beach. While you can argue most to all of the beaches cater well to any family affair, Coast Guard is our #1, and hopefully yours too.
The Beachcomber comes about as close as you get to having it all, and therefore wins our vote for the best overall beach on Cape Cod. You’ll have to get there very early to reserve a parking spot, or take your chances parking at other beaches in the area and walking down, but either way it’s worth it. You can enjoy a full day in the sun, at the bar, eating fresh seafood, and enjoying everything that is to be enjoyed at the beach on the Cape.
