Koko FitClub 30 for 30 Series: Epilogue – Coming back to Koko
Luxx Cape Cod and Koko FitClub have partnered together to get fit. Over the next few months, we will be following Christopher through his journey on the Koko 30 days for $30 program, and see if it’s up to the test.
I have been away from Koko for (basically) 2 months. I took a break to travel around and see parts of the world I’d never been to before. It was an amazingly healthy experience for the mind, but not so much for the body. Backpacking, staying in 12 bed hostel rooms, and eating cheap food are not a way to stay healthy. Plus, Koko has yet to open a branch in Gdansk or Hamburg, so even if I wanted to work out, I couldn’t.
Coming back, I feel as though I’ve lost it all. I feel weak, weaker than I ever have before.
Though the irony is, I am no weaker than I was before I started going to Koko about 6 months. The only difference is I now know what it feels like to be strong. To have muscle – lean muscle, and understanding what that means. Lean = efficient.
I learned over the course of my Koko career that it can be tough to tell on a day to day basis whether your body is looking better or not, but it is apparent when you separate yourself and get out of the routine just how much regular exercise can do for you both physically and mentally.
My body is sore to the bone after my first session back, and cardio was a struggle to say the least. But I have seen life on the other side of the Koko fence and I am not planning on returning there again. I’m hooked for life. Congratulations Koko, I can’t go anywhere else; and frankly, I don’t want to.
