Getting Started on Your Custom Koko Health JourneyAdd to My Luxx Living
If you have driven or walked by one of our five Koko FitClubs on the Cape and wondered what it’s all about, here’s a glance.
The minute you walk in, you will be greeted by a Certified FitCoach, who is on duty from 8 a.m. to 7 .p.m. every weekday and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Ask us any question and get helpful information.
You can receive your complementary Day Pass at this time, or go to our website to download it. Your pass lets you work directly with one of our Certified FitCoaches for the day.
But before your scheduled session, you will receive a phone call to prepare you and explain what to expect. You can watch our video to learn more.
When you arrive for your introductory session, your FitCoach will ask you to fill out a Guest Profile Sheet to better customize your experience. You will review your upcoming session’s details.
Then, you will be ushered to one of our treadmills that was reserved for you and you will complete a 15 minute cardio session, directed by Michael Wood, Koko’s Chief Fitness Officer.
At the conclusion of this cardio session, your FitCoach will escort you to your reserved Smartrainer and learn how works and the important elements that you will be interacting with – iincluding a built-in screen where your custom program is displayed.
At the conclusion of your session, your FitCoach will prescribes a track and time period to reach your goals.
If you then decide to join Koko FitClub at that time or after you think about it some more, your FitCoach will walk you through the members hip agreement and by-laws, stopping at each highlighted section to make sure I am comfortable with the language. At the end of this review, the your FitCoach will instruct you to sign an electronic signature pad, where your agreement will be executed and a copy emailed to you directly.
The next step is to have your Koko Key programmed with your customized workouts. This will take about two minutes to complete. Your FitCoach will explain his or her role supporting you and will schedule initial sessions that are convenient for you.
Before leaving, you will receive your Koko Starter Package, which includes everything you need to be successful at Koko, including your Koko Key and Door Access Key, which lets you work out any time of the day every day of the year.
At your first visit as a Koko member, you will complete a Strength Test. This will serve as your base line for improvement. But first, you complete a FitCheck assessment.
Then, it’s off to your reserved Smartrainer. Your FitCoach will discuss how to property warm up before your session. This may occur either on the Smartrainer itself (It’s called your Dynamic Warmup) or by doing a cardio session.
By the way, you standard Koko Strength Test is comprised of four exercises – chest press, lat pulldown, leg extension, and bicep curl.
Your Certified FitCoach lets is there to assist you in modifying any session or set of exercises.
A few days after you sign up, you receive a thank you note from the Certified FitCoach in the club. This is more than a courtesy. We are partners in the process of improving your health. It’s a journey you don’t take alone.
